JAY TWO EN THREE LTD, trading as Londis, is a well-established convenience retail brand serving the Kippax community. We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Team Leader (Retail) to join our store team and drive operational excellence.

This is a leadership role where you’ll set the standard for exceptional customer experience, inspire your team, and drive store performance. Full UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates already holding a Skilled Worker visa — the employer holds a valid Home Office sponsor licence. 🏪

🎯 Key responsibilities

• 👥 Recruitment, induction and training/development of employees in line with the company’s training requirements
• 📅 Creating and managing the staff schedule
• 📦 Checking in deliveries, order matching and daily banking
• 📋 Prepare required paperwork concerning stock and sales; prepare employee pay and timesheets
• 💰 Manage cash balances and minimise wastage
• ✅ Ensure 100% compliance following company’s and council’s guidelines
• 📊 Perform inventory management and stock control, including weekly stock-taking and reports
• 📈 Analyse the Weekly Sales & Inventory Report to improve the business
• 🧹 Direct and undertake housekeeping activities such as maintaining store cleanliness and presentation
• 📢 Implement in-store marketing material in line with campaigns
• 🦺 Ensure safety procedures are followed to prevent injury; provide a safe work environment for employees and customers
• ⭐ Promote and encourage a high level of customer service among employees
• 🙋 Handle unresolved and/or escalated customer complaints
• 🛍️ Deliver a high standard of service when dealing with products, sales, enquiries and catering to customer needs

✅ What we are looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced retail professional ready to lead from the front. You will need:

• 🎓 A graduate degree with significant experience, or an A-level (or equivalent qualification) with relevant sector experience
• 👥 Ability to network, recruit, train, develop and assess talent
• 🗣️ Strong verbal and written communication skills
• 🍽️ Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
• 💪 Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• 👨‍🍳 Experience in food preparation and cooking techniques (advantageous)
• 🎯 Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• 🧩 A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within the team environment
• 📅 1 year relevant experience (preferred)
• 📍 Must reliably commute or plan to relocate to Kippax LS25 7AF before starting work
