We are currently recruiting a talented Sous Chef to be at the heart of our kitchen. Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help maintain consistent excellence across all areas, bringing both skill and creativity to every aspect of the role. 🎯 Key responsibilities
As Sous Chef, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the guest experience. Your key duties include:
- 👨🍳 Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain consistent excellence across all areas of the kitchen
- 🍳 Ensure every dish showcases the best of fresh, quality ingredients and reflects our high standards
- 👥 Manage and develop a talented kitchen team, building great relationships across kitchen, front-of-house, and management teams
- 📋 Contribute to menu development and costing, bringing creativity and commercial awareness
- 📦 Handle stock control and ordering from nominated suppliers, minimising waste
- 🧹 Oversee kitchen cleanliness and ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met
- 🫡 Take charge in the Head Chef’s absence, confidently managing the team and ensuring smooth daily operations
- 🔥 Thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying calm under pressure while meeting deadlines with efficiency
✅ What we are looking for

- 🍳 Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up
- 📋 Strong knowledge of fresh food preparation and quality ingredient-led cooking
- 👥 Excellent leadership and team management skills — able to motivate and develop a brigade
- 🤝 Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships across kitchen, front-of-house, and management
- 📊 Experience with stock control, ordering, and kitchen financials
- 🎨 A creative approach to menu development with sound commercial awareness
- 🔥 Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy service environment
- 🦺 Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- 🔄 Flexibility to step into the Head Chef role when required and lead the team confidently
